The Explore Ireland project came into inception during the COVID-19 lock-down in Ireland. This period forced us all into isolation at home and away from our usual, familiar social environments.
We provide a completely free platform which brings people together on breath-taking drives around the Irish countryside. Our trips are expertly planned and researched to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, while adhering to social distancing recommendations.
We organise and coordinate various trips on a regular basis, from short drives on scenic routes, to camping trips, car shows and 4x4 off-road tours!

Trip Options:
Day Drives
We organise regular full and half day tours of various scenic routes, meandering through forests, over mountain passes and drives along the coast.
All vehicle types can participate, as we stick to tarred roads, and families are welcome!
We make regular stops to stretch our legs and take coffee/tea and lunch breaks. This could be a quaint rural restaurant or a picnic on the beach.
Camping Trips
Take a time-out from day to day stresses and join our camping trips. From one night away, to long weekend excursions.
You don't need expensive camping gear to take part. Just bring a basic tent, sleeping bag and eating utensils. We are well-stocked with necessary equipment such as cookers, lighting, backup power, camping tables and more.
Before reaching our campsite we'll stop for food and other supplies such as snacks and firelighters & coal (if you want to have a BBQ).
4x4 Adventures
Join one of our exhilarating 4x4 routes which takes us exploring green-lanes, forests and beaches, but fully off-road!
All experience-levels are catered for, but you must have a 4x4 with a relatively decent ground-clearance.
For your peace of mind, we always have experienced mechanics and recovery vehicles on trips for your peace of mind.
We usually make a large BBQ for lunch. Make sure to pack food and drinks before setting off as our 4x4 routes may be remote and not close to shops.
Special Events
Explore Ireland also takes part in various car shows in Ireland.
These are really relaxed days just to get out, be social and bring the family for a day of fun activities, food stalls, car-boot sales and music.
We also take part in Ireland's famous Vintage car shows, so if your vehicle is a classic (over 20 y/o), please contact us to register so we can book a space for you.
Bring a packed lunch or take advantage of a variety of food and drink stalls.
